We are a mature, responsible and quiet couple with no dependents living with us. We are dopwnsizing from a 2,000 SQ FT home that we are selling. We are looking for a long-term lease of one or two years. We would like to downsize somewhat but do not wish to drastically reduce our space so we are thinking of something around 1,400 to 1,600 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and one story. We are avid cooks so a nice kitchen is important. If you have the space I have my own 36″ range. We do have all our own appliances. We also like to do vegetable gardening so a small or medium yard with available space would be nice.

We prefer to deal directly with the homeowner but will consider agents as long as they are willing to discuss terms and conditions rather than dictate them. We are somewhat flexible on the rent but would like to stay close to our budget so we can do a bit of travelling and entertainment.

We can document stable income (I am retired from a government job and my wife has rental income). As both homeowners and landlords we know the value of treating your property with respect and care. With us as tenants you will find your rental house treated well and maintained properly.

We plan on moving in three or four months so if you are an owner and know your propert will be vacant in the near future we should talk.
