The train Station is 10 minutes walk and the Trolly 5 minutes. The Airport is 10 minutes by Taxi even with a few red lights along the way. India Street, one block to the West, is 6 blocks lined with Restaurants, Wine Bars, Coffee Shops, Bakeries, Specialty Grocery Stores, Art Galleries and spotless Piazzas ( some with fountains). A Drug Store and Banks are a few blocks away. One of the finest Camera stores and Art supply stores are right in the neighborhood. Unfortunately the #1 and most famous Dessert Pastry Restaurant in San Diego County, &#8220;Extraordinary Desserts&#8221;, is only a short 3 minute walk.<br />
Columbia and Beech are both very quiet streets with very little traffic. There is a weekly Saturday Farmers Market from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm just 2 short blocks away on Date Street.. You will always find organic vegetables, exotic foods, sandwiches, crapes, gift items and live entertainment in a very friendly neighborhood atmosphere. You will be living in the very safe,civilized, and family oriented community of &#8220;Little Italy&#8221;. Every homeowner pays an small extra property tax assessment to the Little Italy Association in order to maintain the charm, landscaping, safety, security, and integrity of the &#8220;Best Downtown Neighborhood in San Diego&#8221;. You can also take the Trolly for less than $2 to either location. What is most pleasing is that you get to return back to your Sanctuary of &#8220;Little Italy&#8221; after venturing out to the other Downtown San Diego Neighborhoods.</p>
<p>Little Italy is a &#8220;DOG Friendly&#8221; community. You can take your Dog into many stores and eat at numerous Restaurants that have outdoor seating.</p>
